DentalGame
DentalGame, Suupeli in Finnish, is a dental care game where the player aims to achieve amazing dental hygiene by protecting teeth that are attacked by corrosive food elements throughout the day. The player has to monitor the level of acid erosion, the amount of dental plaque and enamel loss.
The aim of the game is to get through as many days and meals as possible with happy, healthy teeth. To succeed in this the player must decrease the level of acid erosion by removing plaque and making proactive food choices.
The game functions as a tool for health education particularly for kids ages 7-12. DentalGame highlights the meaning of small everyday choices on overall dental health. As the game rewards the player for positive choices, it encourages to take interest in dental care.
We developed the game for the Department of Social Services and Health Care Technology of Helsinki.
